Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hassan was the star attraction at the Mayfair Venue Romford to celebrate Muslim Charity’s Children of the World project.
The legendary all rounder met fans, answered questions and took photos along with a Q&A with Capital Kids Cricket chairman Shahidul Alam Ratan.
The popular event which was hosted by Essex Cricket Board Director Jawar Ali took place in support of Muslim Charity’s Children of the World projects.
In his opening speech Harun Rashid of Muslim Charity said, “We have a long term vision to bring about change. We wish to spread the message and that’s why we are not here to collect money from our guests as normally happens.
“What we do want is for everyone to observe our vision and share it with the world. We are committed to working with the most vulnerable.”
Speaking during the event Shakib Al Hasan commented, “Its a pleasure to be here in London and be a part of such a great charity event. I have watched the presentation of what the charity is doing in terms of supporting vulnerable children in Bangladesh and I feel proud.
“I am inspired by the people in this room and what you all do – You are all the true heroes!”
In attendance were local celebrities including Hajj Rider Rashid Ali of Team MC.
