A host of cricketers from London and Luton combined to play a special game of cricket to commemorate the recent Cricket World Cup.
The friendly at Icknield Recreation Ground, Luton was made up of various activists, coaches and friends old and new. Amongst the players was Luton Councillor Tahir Khan, the former Mayor of Luton.
Long standing community activist Maruf Ahmed Maruf said, The Cricket World Cup has been phenomenal and we have witnessed our nation become world champions for the very first time.
“We had an enjoyable two T20 games with honours even at the end. This was also a great advert for our community and inspired us to bring two communities together. We hope it will be a regular thing now.”
