LBTV A Force for the community…
The Big Volunteer is an exciting volunteering programme just for residents of Tower Hamlets, Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark.
Participants start by volunteering for one morning on Sunday 10 March 2019 at London’s newest half marathon, The Big Half. This event is centred on the half marathon distance (13 miles), coming through Tower Hamlets and culminating in the Vitality Big Festival in Greenwich Park. It aims to be a truly global and uniquely local celebration of the wonderful cultural diversity of London.
After the Big Half, the Volunteer Centre Tower Hamlets will invite participants to take part in further volunteering. This could be with a local sports club, or at other high-profile events in London, or with a local charity in Tower Hamlets. There are masses of great opportunities to help interested parties find the perfect match.
