DriveTribe, the automotive social media platform founded by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have been confirmed as lead sponsor for the London Motor & Tech Show, from 16th to 20th May 2019 at the London Excel.

The event, now in its fourth year, has been re-branded to include tech alongside Motors, recognising the increasing role that technology plays in the automotive industry. With additional exhibitors planned and booked for the event, the Show organisers have increased exhibition floor space by a third more than last year. The extra space will accommodate a broader range of tech-related exhibitors as well as demand from automotive companies looking to show their allegiance to the UK car industry in Brexit year.

DriveTribe’s presence at show will provide a physical manifestation of the diverse interests and communities that make up their platform. Jonathan Morris, CEO of DriveTribe said “Last May’s event attracted DriveTribe community members from all around the world, so we thought next year would be the perfect opportunity to champion the extraordinary range of interests that make up our platform. Expect to see a wide range of vehicles representing our communities – Supercars, Motorbikes, classics and Motorsports -through to hobby related themes like gaming, photography and engineering. You’ll also get the chance to meet fellow community members, as well as social media influencers that regularly use our platform.

According to the London Motor & Tech Show CEO Andy Entwistle, “the 2019 event is set to be more interactive and engaging than ever, with the Imperial Cars Live Arena sitting alongside a live stage and an outside Test-Driving circuit. The Live Arena will feature driving stunts and demonstrations from the likes of precision driver Paul Swift. While the stage will include a range of celebrities and motoring journalists debating and demonstrating the latest motors, technology and future industry developments. For those looking to buy a new car, the test drive area will provide opportunities to compare vehicles side by side, as well agree finance packages and bag a new or used car bargain”.

Jonathan Morris added, “the automotive industry is at an exciting and defining point in history as it manages the switch to alternative fuels, autonomous driving and an increasing range of vehicle technology. It’s no coincidence that we’re now seeing many vehicles launch at technology related events like the Consumer Electronics Show in the US. The new London show provides a home-grown way to see vehicle technology up close, with experts on hand to debate the future direction of transportation and vehicle ownership”.
