Brave Team MC staff and volunteers have completed a 10k night walk through the ancient woodlands of Epping Forest in aid of Indonesian earthquake, Tsunami victims and the Rohingya.
Over 600,000 children have been affected and 200,000 families have been displaced. Urgent emergency aid is needed for food, water and shelter.
The trek was organised by renowned Shadwell boxing coach Abdul Hannan and the trekkers were guided ably throughout by activity leader Afsar Chadhury.
Walking through the famed forest the east London team were exposed to a strange and surreal experience enhanced by pitch darkness.
Each participant was awarded an exquisitely crafted medal with a motivational message on completion of the 10k challenge.
Harun Rashid from the charity commented, “We came up with the idea of a night trek to allow a group of people to get together, enjoy each other’s company and raise awareness of vital humanitarian issues whilst participating in a highly challenging activity.
“We are faced with some of the most challenging humanitarian crises ever and the global community is stepping up to support their fellow humans in need. It was a great pleasure and I think we did excellent tonight – Well done everybody.”
