Da’watul Islam UK & Eire condemn the Christchurch terrorist attacks

The Executive Council of Da’watul Islam UK & Eire utterly condemn the terrorist attack on Worshippers at Mosque prayers in Christchurch, New Zealand.

On hearing of the attacks, The President of Da’watul Islam UK & Eire, Hasan Mueenuddin said, “Our prayers and condolences go out to all the victims and their relatives at this moment of great tragedy”.

He went on to say, “New Zealand and its people are tolerant, open and welcoming. We join them today, united in our condemnation of this shocking attack, and remain determined that hate will not triumph.”

The General Secretary, Shabbir Kawsar added, “Today we witnessed one of the worst atrocities in the history of the great country of New Zealand, a country renowned for its hospitality, and one that has always been welcoming of people of all faiths and cultures”.

He continued, “The perpetrators of this barbaric crime must be brought to justice immediately, and probing questions must now be asked as to how this terrorist went undetected, whilst previously speaking out on Social Media with hatred brandishing automatic weapons.

“We extend our gratitude to the emergency services of New Zeeland, its police force and all the front line services charged with maintaining the safety of all its people.”
