Iconic reality show Forgotten Roots is back for round two

The much anticipated season 2 of Forgotten Roots is back and you could feature in what promises to be an adventure of a lifetime.

Forgotten Roots is a journey which connects a group of 16-20 year old non resident Bangladeshi (NRB) youth who experience the way of life of millions of Bangladeshi’s living in the motherland.

This journey of self discovery will be an emotional roller coaster ride for the fledgling participants and gives them an invaluable opportunity to connect with their golden motherland and its people. Each series Forgotten Roots is set in a different district of Bangladesh. The vision behind the project is to showcase Bangladesh in its beauty and glory.

Season One covered the region of Sylhet and the shoot took place in Lalakhaal, an extremely scenic and beautiful location. Season 2 will be set in Dhaka and portray the best of the capitals culture, heritage, and its rise as an economic hub. There will also be a focus on the lives and livelihood of Dhaka and its people.

Forgotten Roots Creator and Producer Dilara Khan said, “The Participants and viewers will get to see real life in Bangladesh and the heartbreaking challenges many face. Our aim is that through the experience gained in this reality show the participants will become better human beings, enrich their lives to become more productive and make the most of the opportunities they have in the country they are living in. They will become great ambassadors for Bangladesh, become better citizens in their country and better global citizens.

“Our youth are our future and the fantastic impact of our season one youngsters just goes to show how important it is to connect with our roots. Looking back has certainly enabled this amazing bunch to take great strides forward. We are very excited for Sunday and look forward to meeting some extraordinary talent.”

Auditions are taking place on Sunday 2nd December from 11am to 4pm at the Kobi Nozrul Centre, 30 Hamburg Street, London E1 6QR
