TextGiving Launches To Engage The Digital Technology Generation

MuslimGiving has launched MuslimTextGiving a new TextGiving platform which offers charities to take donations via text messages.

According to the Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA)’s review in 2017/18 total charity donations made by text totalled £37.5m this figure is expected to increase to £50.1m by the end of the 2018/19 financial year.

MuslimTextGiving allows charities to choose any keyword (eg. HOPE) when asking for donations. Charities can sign up online and there is no setup fee.

We wanted to ensure that we can provide a holistic service where charities can access everything they need for fundraising through one platform”

Charities can sign up online within a matter of minutes. Once signed up, charities can choose their keyword, or keywords if they want to run multiple campaigns.

For donors, the service is easy to use. They can donate up to £10 by sending a text message with the charity’s keyword followed by the amount (eg. HOPE) to the short code 70032.

This new user-friendly system will appeal to a new generation of digital giving, allowing them to donate safely and securely. While charities of all sizes will be able to reach a wider audience with their campaigns and appeals.
