New Public Governor elected to represent Tower Hamlets East London Trust members

Rofikul Islam has been elected by members of the Tower Hamlets East London Foundation Trust to be one of the three public governors representing the constituency of Tower Hamlets.

Upon his appointment Rofikul said, “This is an exciting opportunity for me to play a part in the East London Foundation Trust. I am a strong believer in giving something back and feel this is a good opportunity to get involved.

“As a resident of Tower Hamlets, I am thrilled to be able to represent a constituency which is very close to my heart.”

The East London Foundation Trust provides a wide range of community and inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, older adults and forensic services to the City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton.

The Council of Governors is made up of 45 elected Governors and appointed Governors from partner organisations. These Governors represent the views of their members and work in partnership with the Trust at a strategic level to help plan and shape its services.
